Willow let out a breath and closed her eyes for a second. "Serenity, I know nearly exactly how you feel. There's a lot of things I haven't shared with you when you come over to your Willow's house to have a slumber party."

Serenity looked up at Willow, and just like with her mother, she thought Willow would yell at her. She was shocked, but everyone did have their secrets, some kept them better than others. "Everyone keeps things hidden." Serenity said softly. She pulled the sleeves down, and she wanted to know what things Willow didn't share but she didn't want to pry and seem rude.

"Some more than others," Willow sat silently, "If you want to know about me, to make your situation seem better, go ahead and ask."

"What happened to you?" Serenity asked, asking her what happened with her for her to know about addictions. She was glad to have someone that knew what addiction was like, it made it easier to talk about.

"This may sound silly, but I was addicted to magic, after Tara left me for using to much," Willow sighed, "I was like a walking bomb, I destroyed everything around me, then I got over it. Along comes more pain, and there I go again, but worse."

"Magic?" Serenity wondered how bad it got but decided she didn't want to know. "That doesn't sound silly." Serenity said softly. "How did you stop?" Serenity asked, again her voice was soft. The park was empty but she couldn't help with keeping her voice quiet. It was a habit she had.

"I thought about what I was missing, the first time. Tara looked at me, and she didn't love me. I missed when she loved me. Buffy helped, removing temptation and I got back with Tara. Then it happened," Willow's voice cracked. She thought about the day Tara died. She breathed in trying to stop the tears welling up in her eyes, "She was shot, so I felt like there was nothing to live for anymore. I killed a man, I can never forgive myself. The worse part is I nearly killed everyone."
